The intelligent cockpit layer
Synthetic vision, moving map, traffic and airspace awareness, remote COM and transponder setting. A modern visual flight interface working alongside proven flight references.

Exentra Flight Systems
From avionics to aircraft understanding. EFS connects cockpit, aircraft, atmosphere, pilot and cloud into one intelligent flight ecosystem.

The problem
Modern avionics are excellent at displaying information. But in critical moments, pilots do not need more disconnected data points. They need context, prioritisation, guidance and a safe plan.
The next step is not another display. The next step is flight intelligence.

The intelligent cockpit
EFS Flight is the in-cockpit application for iPad, Android and embedded systems: an intelligent augmentation layer around a trusted redundant primary flight reference, not a replacement for certified primary instrumentation.

EFS · Flight
Synthetic vision, moving map, traffic and airspace awareness, remote COM and transponder setting. A modern visual flight interface working alongside proven flight references.
EFS · Dynamic HITS
Traditional Highway in the Sky shows where to fly. EFS turns it into a dynamic corridor that is energy-aware, weather-aware and safety-aware, riding tailwinds and lift while protecting reserve.
EFS · Autopilot
The full scope of a modern autopilot, with 11 core modes from wing leveller to approach guidance, extended with 9 protection modes including envelope, stall-margin and overspeed protection.
EFS · Guardian
In an emergency, pilots do not need more data. They need a plan. The pilot presses the red button and EFS immediately evaluates reachable options against terrain, wind and energy, then guides the aircraft home with optional autopilot coupling.
The pilot presses the red button.
EFS evaluates reachable options against terrain, wind and energy.
Landing sites are ranked by safety and reachability.
COM and transponder are set; an emergency message is prepared.
Emergency HITS and optional autopilot coupling fly the path.
AirSense · Atmosphere · Flow
EFS does not only receive weather. It measures, learns and visualises the local atmosphere, turning invisible air into visible flight intelligence rendered inside synthetic vision and Dynamic HITS.
Live surface weather at Wittman Regional (Oshkosh), home of AirVenture.
Steady airflow mapped so routing can ride tailwinds and avoid headwinds.
Rising warm air used to gain altitude and extend range without burning energy.
Wind deflected upward along the windward side of a slope.
Descending air, routed around to protect altitude and reserve.
Standing lee waves with smooth lift and sink in alternating bands.
Chaotic air flagged early, so the pilot can slow down or divert.
Overturning circulation beneath mountain waves, close to terrain.
Sharp wind changes across a boundary, most critical near take-off and landing.
The advancing outflow boundary ahead of a storm.
Aircraft intelligence
EFS · Perception
Stereo cameras, forward-looking LiDAR and onboard AI compute support obstacle awareness, landing-zone assessment and future autonomy.
EFS · Monitor
Engine, battery, electrical systems, fuel and energy state, diagnostics, maintenance status and service intervals in one picture.
EFS · SafeWeight
Automatic weight measurement, centre-of-gravity calculation and take-off legality checks produce a clear ready-for-flight status.

EFS · Link™
For a century, aviation communication has been a transient voice stream: heard once, then gone. EFS transforms it into structured, searchable and actionable information. It does not replace the pilot's communication or ATC; it reduces workload and improves awareness, keeping the pilot fully in command.
A VHF transmission, heard once, then gone in an instant.
Transcribed, timestamped and synchronised to the flight. (Roadmap: feasibility study)
EFS extracts the meaning behind the words: runway, instruction, status.
Traditional radios transmit voices. EFS understands intent.
Connect · Cloud · Mobile
EFS ConnectBox links the aircraft to EFS Cloud over LTE/5G, satellite and WiFi with least-cost routing: synchronisation, remote diagnostics and over-the-air updates, with data buffered when offline.
EFS · Mobile
Pilot and aircraft logbooks, live flight log, recording and community.
EFS · PilotCare
Medical validity, licence currency, renewal deadlines and training reminders.
EFS · AircraftLog
Service intervals, inspection reminders, parts history and documentation.
EFS · Fleet
Booking, shared ownership, fleet monitoring and utilisation analytics.
EFS · Marketplace
Parts, services and training recommended by aircraft state.
Open framework
EFS is not another closed system. It is a practical reference implementation for intelligent, connected and autonomy-ready aircraft systems, built in the open with OEMs, flight schools, universities and industry partners.
Launch partner: Skyfly, our first OEM partner.

Wind, thermals and energy-aware routing extend practical range and preserve reserve.
Guardian builds a wind-corrected glide path and displays an emergency Highway in the Sky.
SafeWeight, maintenance, currency and aircraft state in one ready-for-flight picture.
Booking, logbooks, maintenance intervals and utilisation in one platform.
Real atmospheric measurement assesses climb, landing and turbulence risk at altitude.
Perception, AI compute and Guardian lay the foundation for assisted recovery. (Roadmap)
Build with EFS
EFS is looking for aircraft manufacturers, flight schools, clubs, technology partners and research organisations who want to help shape the future of intelligent flight systems.
